George Mirijanian

George Mirijanian has been hosting Chess Chat on FATV since October 2006. He is the program director of the Wachusett Chess Club at Fitchburg State University, a position he has held since the fall of 1968. He is a former president of the Massachusetts Chess Association and the New England Chess Association as well as a former regional vice president of the U.S. Chess Federation. George has taught chess in several public elementary schools in Massachusetts, including Fitchburg and Leominster. For a number of years, he was a chess instructor in Fitchburg's 21st Century After-School program and most recently taught chess in Fitchburg State University's ALFA program. As of December 7, 2016, he has produced 113 Chess Chat programs for FATV, many of which have been seen online (via FATV's video on demand) by chess aficionados around the world.
