Colby O’Brien, President

Colby is the Senior Director of Community Programs and Integration at Making Opportunity Count (MOC). His background includes leadership roles in nonprofit advancement, helping organizations grow through fundraising, grant writing, stewardship, marketing and communications. Colby also serves on other boards and committees in Fitchburg and is committed to helping contribute to the city’s continued development.
He holds a BS in Political Science and History from Keuka College, and his MBA from Fitchburg State University. Colby and his wife live in Fitchburg with their toddler son.

 

Matt Bourgault, Vice President

Matt has been working professionally in PEG Access Television for over 20 years. His past experiences includes working for Comcast (formerly Cablevision & AT&T Broadband) which operated local access television in the communities of Townsend, Ashby, Ashburnham. He was later hired by Ashburnham Westminster Community Access Corporation in 2005, where he has held the position of Executive Director since 2007. Matt has also volunteered as a Video Engineer and IT resource for WAVM, a student-run program out of Maynard, MA for over 15 years. Matt was asked to join the FATV Board of Directors in mid-2018 to share his knowledge and experiences to help grow our organization.

Glenn Kinney, Treasurer

Glenn has been involved with the Harvard University community, supporting media for major events such as Harvard Universities Hasty Pudding Man and Woman of the Year, Science and Cooking, a verity of large lecture series and press releases related to Harvard University research. His dedication to the university spanned for 33 years. Besides supporting Harvard University, he has created Leominster Housing and Development, a development company focused on providing Worcester County quality apartment living. To support his interest in entertainment, Glenn is a successful mobile DJ for Kinney DJ Services that specializes in wedding, corporate events and private parties.

Tracy LaFleur, Clerk

Tracy Lafleur has 22 years of banking experience, of which 11 have been with Enterprise Bank where she is Branch Relationship Manager, VP of the Fitchburg branch. An active supporter of local nonprofit organizations and businesses, Tracy is a member of the Steering Committee of the United Way of North Central Mass Day of Caring, an Ambassador for the North Central Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce, a member of Fitchburg East Rotary Club, and recent member of the HealthAlliance Guild. Previously, Tracy was member of Rotary Club of Fitchburg for five years, where she was the Sergeant-of-Arms for one year, and was awarded the Paul Harris Fellow in 2019.

 

Sharon Bernard

Sharon Bernard retired as the Director of the Fitchburg Public Library in 2022 after working at the library for most of the past 51 years. She holds a BS in English from Fitchburg State ('99) where she was a student representative on the English faculty board. Ms. Bernard is a 2001 graduate with an MLIS from Simmons College Graduate School of Library and Information Science. As a former member of the Rotary Club of Fitchburg, she served as president and is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow. She currently serves on the board of Aging Services of North Central Massachusetts and the Institutional Review Board at Fitchburg State University.  

 

Matt Bruun

Matt Bruun is the director of communications and public affairs at Fitchburg State University, where he has worked since 2009. Prior to that post, he was a professional journalist for 17 years, working at newspapers in Massachusetts and New York, including the Telegram & Gazette and Sentinel & Enterprise. He graduated from Syracuse University in 1992 with a dual degree in English and Journalism, and completed a Master’s Degree in Applied Communications at Fitchburg State in 2014. He currently chairs the Fitchburg Public Library Board of Trustees, and previously served on the Fitchburg Cultural Council and the Fitchburg School Committee. 

 

Pat Calhoun

Pat Calhoun is a Senior Engineer in Charge for Game Creek Video, providing support for all home Bruins, Celtics, and Red Sox broadcasts for NESN and NBC Sports Boston. He has been working in television for 15 years specializing in large scale replay networks and feed distribution, and has been a part of many large events including the Olympics, World Series, Super Bowl, Final Four, Emmys, and Masters. Pat is thrilled to give back to his community as a part of FATV and help the next generation get into broadcasting.

 

Ellen Daoust

Ellen has worked in the intersection of media production, community engagement and education for the past decade. She has FATV to thank for kick-starting her career in media production back in 2011 and sees the value that FATV brings to Fitchburg residents in access to knowledge, education, equipment and community building. She is currently the Associate Director of Education at Cambridge Community Television and knows firsthand both the magic and struggles of working in community media. Prior to working at CCTV, Ellen worked in media production at the Museum of Science in Boston and then freelanced for institutions such as the Boston Children’s Museum, MIT and the Boston Gay Men's Chorus. She holds a BA in Government and Spanish from Smith College, an MS in Applied Communications from Fitchburg State University and a Graduate Certificate in Digital Video from Northeastern University. She recently returned to her hometown of Fitchburg with her husband, daughter, and has a baby on the way.  

 

Todd Gauvin

Todd is a line crew leader at Unitil Electric, where he has worked since 2012 and serves as the Vice President of the UWUA Local B340. A life long resident of Fitchburg, Todd is a graduate of FHS class of ’93 and a graduate of FSU. Todd is an avid volunteer throughout the city taking on projects for the Fitchburg Street Hockey League, Boy Scouts of America, and as a crew member at FATV. While volunteering for FATV Todd particularly enjoys covering FHS and FSU sporting events where he often takes on the challenge as a replay technician. He is the recipient of the 2022 Romolo Testarmata Award, honoring his volunteerism to FATV and the community.  Todd is looking forward to serving on the FATV board of directors and hopes to add to the value that FATV provides to the community.

 

David Ginisi

David is the Senior Director of Development for the Boys and Girls Club of Fitchburg, Leominster, and Gardner. For years prior, Ginisi served his region in senior marketing roles, most recently as the chief marketing officer of Aging Services of North Central Massachusetts. Currently, he serves FATV as the chair of the Marketing Committee and is committed to the growth and prosperity of FATV. Ginisi is dedicated to the tremendous growth happening right now in the City of Fitchburg, where he resides. He also serves on several other boards and committees in Fitchburg and helps contribute to the city’s momentum. At 28 years old, he was the recipient of the Worcester Business Journal's Top 40 Under Forty in Central Massachusetts. Ginisi is a proud graduate of Fitchburg State University, Class of 2016.

George Mirijanian

George is program director of the Wachusett Chess Club at Fitchburg State University - a position he has held since November 1968, when he started writing chess news for the Fitchburg Sentinel that evolved into a weekly chess column in the early 1970s for the Sentinel & Enterprise. He is a former president of the Massachusetts Chess Association and the New England Chess Association, as well as a New England Regional vice president of the U.S. Chess Federation. He has been hosting "Chess Chat" on FATV since October 2006 and has served on the station's board of directors for more than 10 years. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, he was member of the production crew that televised world chess championships matches for PBS, working out of WGBY-TV in Springfield, Mass. and a PBS affiliate in Brooklyn, NY. In addition to "Chess Chat," George has also been part of the production crew of FATV's "Friday Nights in Fitchburg History Club" programs that aired several years ago. In his college years, George hosted a Russian-language classical music program on WUNH radio at the University of New Hampshire in Durham.
